Kolkata food lovers had just witnessed a 4 day long food festival in their neighbourhood.The Government of West Bengal organised a unique food festival ‘Ahare Bangla’ for the first time at the Milan Melaground near Science City.
It was a nice attempt to bring all the uniqueness of Bengali food under one roof. Foodies from all age groups were hunting down all the stalls from savoury to sweets. Huge que at the coupon counter proved that the festival was a hit.
‘Ahare Bangla’ food fest aimed to promote traditional Bengali cuisine. More than 150 dishes were on offer, including some that was vanished from the Bengali platter.But not only Bengali dishes the platter had a variety of other cuisines also. A wholesome range of meat including chicken, quail, turkey, lamb, pork and even rabbit wasthere to gorge on.
Cost was also under budget. Some of the leading participants of the festivalwere the Speciality Group of Restaurants, Bijoli Grill, Continental Catering Services, Tangerine, Mother Dairy, BENFISH etc. The whole experience was good and the food lovers will definitely expect some more attractions on the food front from the next year.
